How can I retrieve accidentally deleted messages

Have you looked in the recycle bin ??
If they are there ... highlight and restore.

Hi @suzies  As long you are using Samsung Messages can restore via the method @nowdeleted  described.  You have 30 days to restore,  Google Messages though does not offer this option.
