How to disable subtitles

Hi

Have a Samsung smart tv and I can’t disable subtitles. When I try to do that it says “this function is not available”. 
And I really need it off so that appletv won’t show that effing descriptive subs!

Make sure you quit app and go to settings afterwards. Some settings will be unavailable while being inside an app.
