Getting More Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

I feel that we do need more parity between the sexes in STEM areas generally. Any thoughts, experiences and stories on this topic from you folks?

Would certainly agree that need more women in STEM.      It may  still be the case that more men are interested in these fields  (even if not to same extent as past)  but at times women may not be getting the same opportunities.   Wonder if there is anything about the environment which deters some mind you, hopefully more input from others here about experiences.
