Equalizer doesn’t work on tv

Hi

Im getting pretty desperate now so hope you guys can help me out. 
My dad has bought this tv Samsung 65" 4K QLED TV QE65Q75BATXXC and the sound is horrible. The equalizer doesn’t work. I have tried to adjust every settings but no matter what I do nothing happens to the sounds.

I have tried several things such as reset sound settings, take HDMI cables out of Blu-ray player and Apple TV, checked all kinds of sound settings and it doesn’t make any sense it doesn’t work.

Please help - What have I missed?
