boot partition

Anyone having problems getting into the boot/recovery partition?

I'm trying to wipe the cache partition but I can't get into recovery mode to do this.

When powering up the phone I'm holding the volume up rocker, I've also tried the volume down rocker and both volume up and down, and with the power supply connected and disconnected. 

Am I do the doing anything wrong or is anyone else having this problem?

You may want to try the below:

1. Turn off your device
2. Connect your device to the PC via USB (not to the charger)
3. Wait until the message that the device is being charged appears
4. Press and hold down the volume up and then power buttons and hold them until the device turns on
5. Recovery menu should appear
6. from there select "Wipe cache partition"
