So I have been running a Samsung G9 successfully for around 18 months.
But whenever I disconnect my Dell laptop from the dock which the monitor is connected to, it loses the resolution settings when I reconnect.
On my work laptop (Lenovo) it is great and it knows my monitor and sets the resolution at 5120 x 1440 but the best I can get on my Dell laptop is 1600 x 900. There are no options above that.
I have tried going into my intel; graphuics settings and trying to force the resolution but it tells me that I am exceeding the bandwidth.
How can I get my laptop to display the right resolution on the monitor?
