XCover 5 back camera not focusing after Android 14/UI6 upgrade

I have 3 XCover 5 phones, I upgraded the OS of the two from Android 13/UI5.1 to Android 14/UI6.0 the other day and both of them can no longer take sharp photos nor able to scan bar/QR codes using the back camera. XCover 5 is used by many businesses to scan barcodes in warehouses, hospitals, groceries, train/bus tickets, etc. I would have thought that the team who is responsible for the Android 14/UI6.0 upgrade has tested the camera because this is the most widely used by the people who used them in their working environment. Please release the fix for this issue as soon as possible. Your business customers will really lose confidence on your product if this is not fixed quickly.

I've got 3 phones like this one at home

This is getting ridiculous. It's been three weeks and no official word from Samsung. This is beginning to smell like a class action lawsuit to me...

Yes, it's absurd. I'm considering utilizing my phone's warranty because its camera doesn't have the expected functionality. I'll request to exchange the phone for one from another manufacturer. And that's it for Samsung. It's disappointing because I've otherwise been satisfied with their hardware, but when they release software that corrupts the hardware and then don't immediately address it or officially acknowledge the issue, I lose all respect and trust in Samsung, a company one would otherwise expect to have the resources to provide expected customer service.

I was thinking exact same thing.... I'ts a mystery that Samsung haven't replayed to the issue yet.... it's not going away this problem. I Bought this phone new for 2 months ago,,, did not expect it to go broken so quick. Samsung should be really embarrassed over this big mess.

Hello guys,

 

The only response i have from Samsung France is to use my warranty. 

This makes me think they doesn't have any fix.

As they are not aware of the issue at all, first It is making me laugh and next I will hurry up to use my warranty before it goes over...

I suggest all of you guys do the same !

How did you claim for warranty? My 2x units were bought only in January and March. I'll send them back and get refund.

You can open a ticket with Samsung Memberd App (Play Store).
