Wil we recive the delayed oreo update before or after the s9 release?

So when will s8 and s8+ users recive the oreo update, any guess before the s9 release or after?? I am hoping before as if its after my faith in sumsung will go down the hill. If anyone else has any guess or idea leave a post.

Officially neither Samsung or the Mobile Networks will comment on Firmware Updates to customers. 

They typically make a global statement. 

Oreo is suspended right now by Samsung due to reboot bugs. 

The s9 models will be released with Oreo which is the usual process. Unless Oreo remains very unstable. 

Once Oreo is stable then the Networks will give thw go ahead to Samsung to release it to their branded phone's and Samsung will release it to their unbranded handsets. 

This all wont happen quickly tho as firmware is pushed out in waves according to the phone's serial number if memory serves me right. 

At present my s8 is very stable on Nougat and from what I've read Oreo does not bring a massive change in features for me to want to rush in on updating it.

Several US carriers have said that they are currently testing the S8 Oreo. Vodafone Australia published a weekly table on it's website showing the status of updates. The S8 Oreo update is showing as 'Testing Scheduled' which means they have received it but not yet started their testing.

In Europe there's a strange secrecy around updates.

At least Samsung have resumed the S8/S8+ Oreo update, wether we get it before the S9 release I couldn't say. Samsung resume Oreo 8.0 rollout.

I saw that just hope it comes quick as it would be nice to have to it before the s9 is released as it would be nice to get one major update before the next flagship is released and iam still on November security patch.

What i dont understand is Google phones received oreo months ago.
Yet its taken 6 months for Samsung to roll it out stop that and now delayed even longer. Im really glad that Sansung dont do Ambulances or immediate operations.
I think the amount of time passed is as big a farce as the Note 7 was.

If Samsung done ambulance we would all be six feet under by now, I think Samsung should have some lessons from googel on how things are done
