My Samsung J6 2016 keeps losing WiFi connection but does not tell me when it does this. It happens both at home and with the work WiFi even though my settings are for auto connect to both. My home laptop WiFi does not have this problem so I don't think it's my router. Can you help?

First forget the network in the phone's settings and then reset back up the connection between the phone and router.

Also if your router permits it try splitting the frequencies to 2.4ghz and 5ghz and then try connecting to one and then the other and see what happens as some phone's prefer one over the other.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

This is still an issue. It does not matter if it is 2.4 or 5ghz. The wifi icon shows as on, but it will not connect to wifi. As soon as i open the wifi settings and starts to search for signals and realizes there is a known signal and connects. I have to open the wifi settings all the time to make the phone search for signals and realize there are known wireless signals and connect to them.
