@Chris561: Please can you confirm the model number and current Android version of your phone? With Wi-Fi activated, does the symbol in the Status Bar at the top of the screen have an exclamation mark next to it? Are all web based apps affected, or just certain ones? In the meantime, try resetting your router by unplugging it at the wall for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. On the phone itself, head to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Select your router and forget the connection. Toggle Wi-Fi off, then on again, and run through the connection steps once again.
