What do i use to download music for a ringtone

I have a samsung 7 and I don't know how to download a song and make it a ringtone. I bought a song from play store but it won't let me have it as a ringtone

My choice is to use the Zedge App.

In the past I've also moved ringtones from my MacBook Air to my s7 edge and s8 using the Android Transfer Software.

If you have a micro sd card installed, then your song may have went on to it? So take it out to your internal phone storage and you'll be able to use it as a ringtone. Hope this helps.
