Voice recorder files and camera folder photos mysteriously gone

Please help, I just noticed that a whole bunch of my voice recorder files have mysteriously disappeared..

 about the last 3 months worth it looks like, as well as some recent photos I took in my camera folder. I don’t do anything as far as I know, I was recording new voice notes this week and they are no longer there.

I have an SD card and I thought all my recordings were going on it but I’m not sure. There’s only 1 on the SD card and the rest are on my phone going up until September 2020. Why and how did this happen and how can I possibly find and recover them?

my phone is a Samsung s8 plus

1. turn off phone

2. remove SD card

3. wipe clean the gold part

4. re-insert the SD card

5. turn on the phone

same thing happen to me but only with my voice recorder files. ALL my voice recordings are gone for no reason at sll and i dont have a SD card. What's going on?!? these are 400 + files we're talking about. since ive bought this phone Samsung S10 a year and a half ago
