Other SmartphonesHi. When I playback a video recording captured using the Camera app on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus there is no sound. I know the mics and speaker work fine as I'm able to record and playback audio using the Voice recorder app. Any ideas what could be the problem and how can this be resolved? *Note - This is a new phone. Not rooted.

Other SmartphonesIn my case, the problem was simply that I connected my audio plug from my selfie stick while recording. For some reason, that step disabled my audio (maybe an issue with the cable). So all I needed to do was use the selfie stick to get the right video angle and use the phone's microphone to pick up the audio. Now works perfectly.

Other Smartphones1st to clear things up a bit & stop the confusion, the white arrow is on the middle of a video. The video must be open by clicking on the icon of the video you want to watch with sound then you'll see the white arrow. Even though the video is playing without sound you still must click the white arrow. In my case it wasn't that easy. I tried pressing the arrow multiple times without luck. I than used an app called AppMgrIII to clear the cache from the camera & bingo it works again. I own 2 of the same tablets 1 was working but this 1 wasn't. It took me a while to figure it out. I hope this helps. MAGA #CompleteTheWall Trump 2024

Other SmartphonesThis was exactly my issue, thanks for the reminder. For everyone else, if you are playing video in the Samsung "Video Player" app and you don't have sound, a good place to check is the volume menu, it appears this app has its own volume slider.
Press volume up or down, now press the three dots on the volume slider on the screen this should open up all active audio sources trying to play on the phone, the Video Player app icon is red with a white flower in the center.
