Suspected Fault Galaxy S7 Edge

When I plug in headphones to my Galaxy 7 Edge I get sound but the volume up / down and mic function doesn't work. I've checked with two pairs of headphones and get the same issue. Is my phone faulty or needing an update of some sort? Please advise.

Check in the headphone port by using a torch to see if there's a build up of lint.

If not then try a soft reboot by turning the device Off and On.

No help then back up and factory reset.

Finally a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre location can run a diagnostic on the phone.
