The Manufacturing Warranty covers a phone as long as it was purchased from a place that's in the Eu.
I asked a similar question to Samsung U.K as I was interested in importing the Samsung Note FE.
If a phone is purchased from a Non Eu Country then I guess it's then the warranty applicable in that particular country.
It's one of the few negatives in importing a phone.
