Samsung video player

Video player shows up as installed, unfortunately I cant find the icon in order to use it. It was there when I had my S8+. My other S9+ has the icon and it works. Both were bought at the same time. Any help would be appreciated it.

When I search my phone it tells me where the app icon is. 

Can you try that.

If you go to Settings > Apps, is the Video Player app present in the list?

Yes it does appear there. Just need to figure out how to add to home screen. Seems weird that the icon itself is nowhere to be found.

@Blu214 If you attempt to open a video file, what app does it default to? As a troubleshooting step try going to Settings > Apps > Video > Uninstall, then go to the Galaxy Apps store, search 'Video' and reinstall the app from there.

Download (samsung video library) from GALAXY APPS and the video player icon will start to show in your APPS.

How do you load MKV files into the phone please?

The USB stick does not appear when plugged into the port via the Samsung convertor.

The stick is formatted in FAT and is readable elswhere OK
