My phone has the red tint or pink hue problem that everyone has been complaining to Samsung about it's covering full screen on phone and is also doing same in all apps when opened along with having burn in issue any help & advice on what to do would greatly be appreciated should I bring phone to Samsung to replace or have them use software tweaks that haven't fixed issue for other people who have red tint or pink hue as it's called

Hi @Singlen3

Is the tint visible when you angle the phone screen away from your direct sight or when you look directly at the screen in a normal position ?

No software update would remove burn in.

Some people don’t actually have burn in but instead have image retention which fades away after approximately 5-10 minutes.

If it is burn in then you’d need to approach the seller / Business who supplied the phone and or locate your most local Samsung Service Location to enquire if they’ll resolve this under the 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty.

I got this Samsung s8+ through t mobile over the phone I have insurance but I will go to Samsung and see what they can do or if they can replace it under 24 month warranty I haven't had it long I upgraded to Samsung on may 2nd 2017 hopefully they will replace it under warranty I'm not happy about this I don't want to be seeing these issues on phone with been on a 24 month contract I don't mind if it's a problem that can be fixed I'm ok with that but this red tint is on my phone visible on the full screen also in camera app on screen can't use it to take photos or any videos the red tint or pink hue shows up there covering full screen too

Ive seen the new Google xl 2 have this issue and I think the iPhone 10 but ive not seen it on the Samsung.

That said im using the s8 which is smaller so may be a factor in not seeing the tint.

Ive had no burn in etc on mine.

If this is a display issue then as long as the phone has never been dropped and the water sensors havent been tripped then it would be reasonable imo to have the work carried out under the manufacturing warranty.

Of course the final word is with Samsung not me - a fellow customer.

A certain amount of Samsung s8 have this issue from date they released it just on early handsets people were eager to get there hands on the final decision is with Samsung on what they decide to do after I see them Saturday in Samsung store all I can do is tell them what's happened and show them the problems with phone I'm hoping it all goes well and have some good news to hopefully replace the phone how ever if Samsung do try get funny i will tell Samsung about certain information they got sent to all Samsung help centre stores nation wide from Samsung's big people who make all the decisions to replace all Samsung s8 handsets with red tint or pink hue issue with a new handset that doesn't have that defect of red tint or pink hue issue at end of day I just want to get problem resolved with a good experience rather than a situation that turns out awkward IL just have to see what happens Saturday and see what Samsung decide if worst comes to worst I have all the evidence with my solicitor been a new customer to Samsung I'm on fence as to what will happen when I visit store
