Samsung S8 keypad/dialpad not working

Hi I recently got a Samsung s8 through Vodafone UK as part of an upgrade deal. I am unabke to use the keypad/dialpad when i use calls so that i can choose the options that direct me towards the service I want.

For example if the voice automated person  says "press 2 to go customer service" after I've pressed the number the call goes back to the beginning and lists the options that I can choose again.

I was wondering how I could fix this problem?

I have same problem. No response when I press any number. The automated person keep going.

I'm facing this problem as well. It bothers me so much cuz when I need to have a phone call meeting and no response when I dial on the number pad, which caused me not able to be in the call meeting. Please fix this!

I have the same problem and it is driving me nuts. A google search shows it is a problem that others have too.

In the usa they found a setting witin the calls settings which seems to fix this problem but it is not a setting i have on my phone. 

Samsung this is a significant problem with your phone. Please help!!

Ok. A quick fiddle and this is what I did. Go into your phone app. Go into Settings on the dialpad screen. Go into Call alerts. Make sure all call staus settings are turned on and just for good measure turn on the setting that says alerts during calls.

speakerphone seems to play a part in this too. When i dial my bank i need to do it via speakerphone for the dialpad to work. When i phone my water company speakerphone needs to be off forthe dialpad to be recognised. A combination of these changes work for me

Did software update to Android 8 Oreo today. Problem fixed.

I need my keypad to work for my business so I can access conference calls. This is really bad of you samsung - I am running the latest Oreo Softward and my keypad will not work when i try to dial into conferences. I have spent hours trying to fix this. Get your act together Samsung.

The same thing happened to me. It's an issue with Wi-Fi calling. Call Vodafone and let them know the problem, they will remove and re-add the Wi-Fi calling feature and the automated system problem will be resolved.
