I really liked my phone up untill a few days ago when it got updated. All the home screen has been changed. Everything is now huge. I cant put folders on the homescreen so when i want to use a app o have to look through hundreds to find the one i want. Has this happened to anyone else? Really not happy. Considering changing phone as its now unusable in my eyes

In the time it took you to logon here search for a topic and write this post you could have just eddited the settings in your phone and get it the way you had in 5 minutes...but I geuss doing nothing and then complaining is the way to go.

Settings > Display > Easy mode > Standard Mode (Click)

Hi guys; please try to keep it civil.

@Stevecox:  Sounds very much like a screen resolution setting has changed. If your phone's not in Easy Mode, then it might be worth checking what Power Saving mode you've got it in, as on 'Max' mode it'll reduce your screen resolution etc. and make icons look large. Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery.

Other stuff that can affect the resolution is Settings > Device Maintenance > Performance Mode; and Settings > Display > Screen Resolution; so if you're not having any joy with the above, try checking in these to make sure everything's set as it should be.

Failing that, then boot the phone into Safe Mode to see if a rogue app is the culprit.

Let us know how you get on, Steve. :robothappy:

I have similar... I got an update to which it changed all my apps on my home screen, so I proceeded to change all my apps back to how I had them prior the update, changed my theme once finished and it took all my apps off again and back to how it was after the update. So I put my apps back to how it was and left the theme be... I turned my phone off a few weeks later, put it back on and the apps where back to how they were after the update. I've now given up and hardly use my phone anymore cause I can't be bothered looking for apps on the main app screen. I've contacted Samsung twice and even provided picrures but no one can help me. I'm not happy that Samsung have decided to put what apps they want on my screen. I don't see why I should have to keep my phone on constantly and have the same theme running constantly!

DO NOT UPDATE Samsung S7

Im not one to blog but this has initiated me to save others from the worst ph. experience ever???

After refusing to update my S7 from another disaterous previous update I eventaully gave in to the months of incidious pop ups on my home screen only to completely F___ my phone into a useless piece of *****.

I now have no control over this device that I have paid good money to own and once new how to use.

The home screen is vastly different as is sms format and popups keep asking to change settings which is always disaterous. Contacts have an ***** Places link and the gallery asked if I wanted to play vidoes automatically, I thought it would be handy but is driving me completely insane as you have no control as before. I have tried unsucessfully to undo this but its impossible and will not reset following all the instructions from other bloggers.

Im considering pissing this phone off for another brand if my service provider cant undo this bull*****.

Samsung was once a great phone but I consider it to be the greatest piece of ***** ever and advise you never UPDATE  after several really SHOWROOMSHOWROOMbad experiences.

I just had another update and I wondering if they really use the public to test these updates? I find they are the worst they seem more like down grades. Ijust noticed that when I am texting I used to be able to swipe right and call the person I was texting. Now I have to do 3 other things to make the same call Samsung your going backwards not fowards with the updates.

I hate the update too. The latest one slowed down my phone so badly. So frustrated. This is my last Samsung phone. I'm so tired of this. Updating was never needed but keep bugging to do and making phone slower. Never felt the benefit but more problems. I hope they stop doing for people who are happy with current ones. I wish I could remove them even.
