samsung S7 oreo update issues

Once I updated my Bluetooth ear buds only connect for calls and not media which is what I use them for.

I would suggest deleting the pairing and reset it back up @Gdw1999

And as a process of elimination can you pair up with another phone to see if they work ok. 

Updating your firmware shouldn't have affected this I believe.  

I use Bose Wireless On earphones with my s8 on Oreo and was not affected by the update from Nougat to Oreo. 

Maybe clearing your system cache files first and then a factory reset after backing up as a final resort may / may not help.

I have unpaired and paired the headphones multiple times and it still says it's unable to connect to media audio I've paired with my friends wireless headphones and they work fine it's just sertain devices and this only happened after I updated so I don't see how it would be anything else

I'm wondering if there's a dedicated forum for those make of earphones where you can see if their members have experienced similar issues and if they've found a workaround ?

it's not the earphones, my phone was working perfectly well until 3AM when the update hit, now my bluetooth earphones, 2 different types, both act the same, they may or maynot connect, then they say they are connected, for the phone to say "connecting" sometimes it does connect sometimes you can turn the media function on, sometimes you can't. it sometimes crashes the audiobook player, sometimes it doesn't. The "unhelp" desk like everbody else just says clear the cashe, which does nothing, and do a factory reset, which I have no faith WILL do anything, and is a pain in the ass.

With the Oreo update,  my Samsung s7 won't automatically connect to my 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. I have done a reset twice. It connect just fine to my Fitbit, so my bluetooth works. My husband's cell phone connects to the car and we have the same phone although it works intermittently. Is there a patch to fix this?
