HELP please!  I've been struggling for ages with this and I know it should be a simple fix.   How do I set it for the blue notification light to cone on when I've received a message, text etc?  It used to, but the setting must have changed.  Please!

Ok so your one Nougat.  👍

I can only think it's because if the phone model.

If you have the opportunity perhaps pop into your local Network Store and check their s7 and s8 settings.

Hi @Annie17

Settings > Display > Edge Screen > Edge Lighting set to always. > Manage Notifications > Choose Messages and any others you want.

In Advanced Settings you can choose the colour and width of the lighting around the screen.

Thank you.  On EDGE SCREEN I've Edge Panels on, Edge Feeds on and Edge Lighting on.  Can't see Edge Lighting with an option for always.

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Ok your settings page is different to mine.

Mine is the 2nd picture a post up.

Now this can be because....

  1. Im using a Samsung Galaxy s8 so I may have access to different settings.
  2. A phone supplied by a Network ie Branded may have different settings / options. Mine is supplied by Samsung ie Unbranded.
  3. Different settings can be country specific. I’m in the Uk.
  4. I assume your on Nougat 7.0.

Your very Welcome for my help thus far.   :smiling-face:
