hello everyone I have a samsung j5 2016 and recently I had a problem that when the battery is below 50 percent the phone shuts down and needs to be charged. The operating system is Nougat 7.1.1 can you tell me what the problem might be, maybe a bad battery The fault is gone. Cheers

Hello. Giving the fact that it's a 2016 model , we can assume the battery needs to be changed . Over time , accumulator batteries degrade. So , it would be my guess your battery is done.

An option is to back up and factory reset @Goran3

If that does not help then a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

You can check the batteries health in a few ways.

There are battery monitor apps as well as the phoneinfo app and CPU-Z App from the Playstore  and also in your phone look at your Samsung Members App diagnostic tool.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
