Samsung J3 2017 WI-FI Authentication Error

Hello

I recently purchased this new J3 but I am having trouble connecting to my home wi-fi. Every time I put the password in, it always says authentication error. I have reset wi-fi and also factory reset the phone but the problem persists. I have a 2016 J3 and it connects to the same network no problem but the 2017 model will not. I have tried all the usual "forget this network" and such and like I said I even factory reset the phone.

What can I do to fix this?

Model Number - SM-J330FN

Baseband - J330FNXXU1AQF7

Carrier - Vodafone Ireland

Hello @Toradh

Does the phone connect to other public wifi like coffee shops etc ?

Id suggest to Check your returns period to have it swapped out if your own troubleshooting has not resolved this.

Thanks for the reply..

I have not had the chance to see if it works for public wi-fi etc but I'll check tomorrow. Also, My phone should be covered under warranty, right?

You may have a cooling off period from where you purchased it.

I'm in the UK and buy from a Samsung Experience Store so have 30.days to return it.

After the cooling off period (if relevant) expires then the 24 month manufacturing warranty kicks in.
