Samsung J3 2017-Microphone not working

I've been having this issue with the past couple of weeks,if I make a call the other person cannot hear me so its obviously an issue with the mic.

I did a factory reset on the phone today and the same problem is still there.

Should I accept it is an issue with the hardware of the device or has anyone got another trick I could try?

Well you did a factory reset thats good.

Try a voice recorder see if the mic works

Or voicechat in WhatsApp.   If those dont work either its probably broken

Try changing your THEME  it was the only thing that worked for me. Hope it helps somebody else.
