Samsung galaxy note 8 not allowing change to APN

I have an unlocked galaxy note 8 that I'm using through straight talk. It's been working fine for close to a year but now wont allow multimedia messages. All other mobile data seems to work fine. I've been trying to manually adjust the APN but the phone will not allow me to edit the current APN (T-Mobile's) nor can I add a new one. When I complete a new one I try to save and it just vanishes.

If you insert your sim card in another phone does MMS work ?

I ask as this is typically network driven and some network accounts need provisioning for MMS which the network has to perform.

MMS is also typically a chargeable service and only allows a limited file size to be sent which is why I prefer Facebook Messenger , email or whatsapp myself.
