Samsung Galaxy A5 only connecting to wifi when very close to a router

I started to have this issue a week ago. For some reasons my Galaxy A5 can only connect to wifi when it's very close to the router, around less than a meter, which is odd because before that it was able to connect to it above 1 meter. I have checked other devices if they're having that issue, but only my phone is experiencing it

I'm having the same problem, on and off,  since an upgrade a couple of months ago.  It is very frustrating.  Turning the phone on and off doesnt make a difference.
