Other SmartphonesHello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 (BTU) and still haven't received the OTA update for Oreo. I'm located in France, and my operator is Orange. I have tried to manually check for updates (Settings -> Software Update -> Download Updates Manually), but nothing happens.
For information, Current version: A520FXXU3BQLA / A520FOXA3BQL2 / A520FXXU3BQL1
Is there any way to switch to Oreo without manually installing an official ROM ? As far as I know, the update has been deployed a long time ago (more or less 1 year ago).
Thank you for your answer,
Best regards

Other SmartphonesHi @QuentinC2.
Any joy with hooking it up to a computer via USB and using Smart Switch to look for available updates?

Other SmartphonesHello,
When I plug my phone to my computer and use Smart Watch on my computer to check for any software update, the software tells me that my smartphone is up to date (https://imgur.com/a/ILBCNYN).

Other SmartphonesInteresting.
An A5 2017 BTU should definitely be able to update to Oreo. Assuming that it does the same in Safe Mode, then it might be worth visiting your nearest Samsung Support Centre to have it checked out, and to see if they're able to update it for you onsite.

Other SmartphonesThe problem is that in safe mode, I can't use any donwloaded application, including Smart Switch 😞 So I can't check if the behaviour is still the same in safe mode or not (I tried to manually check for updates in " Settings -> Software update " though, still nothing).
