Samsung animated themes not working after oreo update.

After the recent oreo update on my s7 none of the animated or video themes are working properly. All of the theme works except for the lock screen part. The lock screen shows the picture but it's no longer animated. I thought it was maybe just the themes I had bought but when I tried trials of ones I don't own.  Those were also having the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @Nixie. Not sure if this is still happening for you, but some of the S9 peeps had the same issue, and one of them found a fix for it. Hope this helps!

I've tried the solution suggested here but it didn't work for me. After a bit of tinkering, here's how I solved it:

1) Go to Samsung Themes > Themes 

2) At the left side of your downloaded themes, click View All

3) Apply the Default

4) Then go to Samsung Themes again > Wallpapers

5) Select any Free wallpaper you wanna download, then Apply

Ater that, try reapplying the Animated Theme that wasn't working

Your instructions to set both wallpaper and the theme back to default settings, then reapplying the theme I bought with video/animation worked 100%! Thank you!!
