S8+ storage always full despite SD card

My S8+ keeps telling my storage is full despite having transfrred a few apps, documents and images onto an SD card.

The card is only about 5% full -  now apps won't update and some I can't access.

I would need to remove apps I need on the phone - The apps I previously had no problem with.

I have posted this answer in a different topic as well but I am hoping this might help you a little as well. "Did you try using "Device Care" app? It might give you better overview of what takes the most space on your phone than "Files". I have included screenshot from my Device Care app. There you can see how much space is taken by Games, Secure Folder or Files. I hope this will make it easier for you to navigate to the trash files that take to much space."
