S8 service provider update has stopped

Hi I keep getting an error message pop up on my 

- service provider update has stopped 

 

This is on a new s8 plus , 

I have tried factory reset already 

I have found this to be a system service app which I have tried to force stop too, 

Any ideas what is causing this ? 

I'm on EE network

Update has defiantly fixed the issue , hope up come to Asia soon my brother!!

Try backing up with Samsung smart switch on your pc or mac then do a factory reset and the use the recovery option to reinstall.

I had the same issue with S8+ from T-Mobile USA and got the firmware update from T-Mobile last week that actually fixed it. Dec 9 '2017 firmware update officially fixed it for me. It took them 6 months to fix after I first encountered the issue back in June '2017. But I am glad this nagging issue was finally fixed.
