S8 felt in water

Dear all,

my S8 felt in water. I pick it up immediately and the phone worked.

After 5 min it starts showing green stripes, so I put in a rise bag for 2 days.

Today I took it out and it showed moisture all around.

it switched on but still the flickering green stripes are there.

What is verdict? Is the phone gone? Nothing I can do?

The worst thing to do is using it after water contact. Next time you might put it in a rise bag immediately.
I think it's gone.

needs to dry out internally
as much as possible
wrap a towel around it
keep somewhere warm
leave for a few days

put into fresh rice, and leave it for a week, it may help it. if you have access to them the silica gel things (normally like little sugar sachets) that come with new shoes and that, is really good as it drains the moisture better

Yes, It looks like I did all what I should have not.

1) drop in the toilet water

2) wipe it and use it straight away

3) good I put it a rise bag, but after two days (this morning), I took it out and switch it on

4) the phone worked... but when I got a call, the screen went purple

Now it is there making noises, all purple-ish... I guess it is gone...
