S7 has lost WIfi Calling Option

Hello all I have a quick question, my handset recently updated to Nougat and unfortunately I've since lost the Wifi Calling Option.  I've done a full factory reset, tried other avenues, spoke to my network provide (they said it was a Samsung issue), spoke to Samsung (they said it was my network providers issues), spoke to my network provide again (they then called Samsung on my behalf).   ........ turns out that my IMEI is in a batch that have this issue and will be sent a patch at some point.  Now the problem I have is that where I work there is no mobile network so I was reliant on Wifi Calling to be able to use my handset, all I have now is a chuffin expensive paper weight on my desk.

 

As several weeks have now passed since this revalation from Samsung I tried "chatting" online to them the other day to find out when this patch would be issue - all I got was "ensure your automatic updates are on - it's probably your network provider holding it up".  DOES ANYONE know when this patch will be issued?

Hi @oliveoylgb.

 

Has your Network Provider tried removing the provisioning of WiFi calling on your account and then re-adding it?

Hi no they haven't, they told me that Samsung had advised that a patch would be rolled out to fix all the IMEIs affected but so far nothing 😞

so apparently according to Samsung Cardiff store at the weekend unlocked handsets no longer have the option to use Wifi calling #handy!

Just got a brand new S7 with 32 Gb and the option of Wi-Fi Calling (VoLTE) is nowhere to be found.

Extremely frustrating. I wish I could return the phone.

This is a disrespect with the customer.

I have just bought a new s7 its dropping reception and internet connectivity. At home my signal is terribal i need this wifi calling option as i am a technition and get called out all the time. Now i have a paperweight that cost me 600 dollars and as a flagship phone cant even do what i bought it to. I am furious and very dissatisfied with this, i cant even return it because its samsung that initialized this problem. 

 

BEEN A SAMSUNG SUPORTER FOR OVER A DECADE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG AGAIN UNBELIEVABLE.

I read this post yesterday and then found a solution elsewhere so I wanted to post it here to help others who might have this problem.  I have had S7 for over a year and had wifi calling until a recent update removed it from the menus it just dissapeared from the phone.  The solution I found was to go to the phone keypad and type in ##BRAND#  This apparently resets the brand provisioning whatever that is and fter loading and rebooting for a while it was done and I had wifi calling restored!  Hope this helps you as well.  Cheers.

Yes this is what I did and it immediately started resetting stuff.  It may only be a Sprint solution as I found it on a sprint forum
