Other SmartphonesHi @Gary1967
Turn the phone Off.
Press and hold together: Volume Up + Home + Power button for a couple of seconds.
Release held keys when the Samsung Logo appears on the screen.
After that select from Recovery Mode menu "wipe data / factory reset" using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.

If a Hard Reset does not help then visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Location.

Other SmartphonesThanks B o B.
Phone is already off. Wouldn't restart after update. Tried those buttons as well but no joy. Just blue Led permanently on.
Nearest Samsung store is 2 hours away so will probably give them a call.
What happened to sticking the pin into a hole to reset 😊
Cheers
Gary

Other SmartphonesYou're Welcome.
Was hoping that would work for you.
Ah yes some phones still have those type of reset options.

Other SmartphonesHi Tracy.
I am on 3.
Had plenty of updates over the last few months and no problems.
The phone discharged overnight and when I plugged it in this morning it starting charging and tried to restart but just locked again with constant blue LED. The only other think I can think of is to let it discharge again, start charging it and do a Power/home/Volume+ reset but dont really want to lose all my data...
Annoying thing is that I had this phone as a replacement just over a year ago because of the black screen of death.
Would it still be in Warranty?
Gary
