S6 edge stuck on boot screen

Hi. This morning my S6 edge turned itself off when it was in my pocket. When I tried to power it back on, it got stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Powered by Android" screen and has been ever since. Holding down the power button does nothing. Holding the power button and volume down together briefly causes the screen to go blank but then it gets stuck again at the same screen. I can't get into recovery or boot in safe mode.

Hold down Power Button, Home button & Volume Down Button all at the same time, until you get a blue screen which warns you about loading non standard software then press volume down button to reboot.

I know this is from 3 years ago haha but did you find a solution?

Haha long time ago now, but sadly there was no solution. I took it to a Samsung store and they said it would have to be sent off for repair and would be wiped in the process. I ended up going through my insurance instead for a replacement. Three years later and now I have an iPhone!
