S5 siren noise and freeze

Let me start off by saying i have had this phone for two years and looked after it well. never had any problems.

Tonight I left my s5 on charge for 30miniutes came back and saw I had a message. when I unlocked my phone it started making an extremely loud noise like vibrating. the phone then turned itself off and will not turn on past the Samsung loading screen.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Jonny, i also has this happen to me recently following a popup in the default browser. I removed the battery, sim and tf card, replaced the battery and performed a hard reset, pressing and holding the power button for 20 seconds. Luckily mine restarted, so i did another hard reset, then did a full scan in smart manager security before putting the sim and tf back in. Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks for the advice I've tried this sadly hasn't worked. left battery sim and memory card out for a little while now and I will try again.

The only other suggestion would be to see if you can connect via usb to your laptop or pc, and reinstall the last backup of your android OS via Kies. This, of course, is still dependent on the handset being able to power up....

Failing that, taking it to your local approved phone repairer is your last hope. Good luck.
