OK, so i just got the S9+ and looking to make use of the S Health App.
I have entered the required information and said i want to lose x amount per week.
However the app is telling me that i am already over 400Kcals to many and I have not even eaten dinner.
it has me as 2536 cals per day minus 1285 (1262 at rest and only 23 from light exercise so far).
This is ok as only sitting at a dest and having the odd walk around.
So then it lists my calories to be consumed for each day as 1434 which is ok and makes sense so far.
I have added meals so far that add up to 508 calories and this is shown coorectly as being nearly a third of the wat toward my daily intake.
However the weight management meter i sin the red and is nearly all the way to the right showing 320Kcal over.
This makes no sense at all.
I have automeals turned off.
Does anyone have any idea whats going on?
thanks

I had the same problem with my new S9 plus. What worked for me was deleting weight management widget, turning it off in settings, then turning it back on. I had to re enter my goal settings of course, but made sure to turn off auto fill at this initial point.
Everything worked as expected from this point on. I'm not sure what's happening here. But it seems as if maybe some of the widgets are not communicating properly. For instance the weight management widget connects to the food log when you create a new goal… It seems to run into problems when changing fundamental settings like autofill. But, as mentioned above, turning off weight management and starting from scratch fixed things for me.

Hi @Maax. :robothappy:
Any troubleshooting steps you've taken so far?
The below steps often help with the app related stuff:
1. Restart > Software Update > App Update.
2. Clear the App Cache – this will remove all temporary files associated with the app, including any possibly corrupted files:
- Settings > App info > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear Cache
3. Clear the User Data - Similar effect to the above one.
- Make sure that you’re completely backed up - Samsung Health > Settings > Samsung Account > Sync Now
- Then Clear Data - Settings > App info > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear Data
4. If the issue is persisting after these, then if you send an error report through the Samsung Members app within 15 minutes of it occuring, our software team can have a deeper look into what's going on for you:
Open Members app > Select Support > Send Feedback > Error Reports > Application > Tick Send System Log Data and attach a description of the problem.

Having the same problem others are having with the SHealth. Even though all my autofill settings are off, it is autofilling my dinner and putting me over my calories for the day. I've tried everything suggested and nothing works.
Any other ideas?

Okay. So I'm responding to my own response after finally getting S-Health set up the way I (and I think you) prefer it to operate... that is, more like a traditional tracker.
First off, to back up on my previous response, all of the settings/tracking I want can be found in the "Balanced Life" plan, NOT under Weight Management--which is what I'm actually trying to do. But, as noted by many, the W-M program has a somewhat confusing way of calculating daily calorie burn by segmenting your daily allowance into meal groups and then informing you that you're constantly either Over or Under. It never seemed intuitive to me.
To achieve a more traditional, simpler weight management/caloric intake dashboard:
1) Tap on Manage Items (plus sign at bottom)
2) Change assigned goal from Weight Management to Balanced Life
3) Still in the management screen, tap on the Balanced Life goal you just selected to see its program screen
4) Adjust sliders to set Activity, Daily Calories, and/or Sleep goals. Done on this screen -> Back out to Main
5) Back on the main screen, tap on your Weight tracking widget
6) Tap the top right hamburger/dots menu and select "Set Target"
7) Adjust the slider to set a target weight goal
And Bob's your uncle! A nice, clean, easy to understand dashboard for tracking daily calorie intake with a target weight (and any other widgets you've loaded). S-Health now tracks as expected, in line with more traditional health apps.
Hope this helps.
Best, Chris.
EDIT: S-Health retains previous program data. If you ever feel like switching back to the Weight Management program for some reason, all data you've accumulated thus far will be restored.

Hello,
I'm trying to foloow your instructions in order to change the dashboard into the more logical one that you're mentioning. I'm not sure if there was an update since your post or if it's just me, but I cant seem to find the balanced life plan or where to even change the plan. When i click the "manage items" at the bottom right of the home page, it's an arrow and it takes me to a turn on/turn off list of the different components of the app like HR, food, sleep, steps, etc. Am i not looking in the right place? I appreciate your help if you have a minute to answer. I have a galaxy 9+.

I am in the same boat. I have the Note 9 and I can not seem to find where I can reset or change the data.

I emailed Samsung for help. I'll post what they say

Well, they were totally useless. Told me to turn off the autofill option even though i told them it was already off.
