Is there a way to disable the spam notifications advertising Macafee's spyware program?
Surely there is a way to disable spam notifications on a $800 phone?
Or does Samsung hate it's customers?
It's absolutely not a 3rd party app, it's a notification produced regularly by the 'Device Care' app bundled directly by Samsung, that tries to push users to accept a license for McAfee. It's extremely disappointing that -- as OP rightly points out -- an expensive, 'premium' smartphone repeatedly advertises to users to activate bloatware (I presume Samsung gets a kickback from McAfee for pre-installing their bloatware). Tapping the notification produces this, in case you're still in doubt that this is a Samsung issue:
Totally agree. These annoying notifications come from Device care and it's impossible to disable them (at least so far I didn't find a way). It's absolutelly outrageous and insulting. I wish I knew this before buying my S10+. I think Samsung is going totally wrong way with this. E.g. my Samsung TV started showing me adds in the main menu of the TV! For me it's over. I am not buying anything from Samsung anymore.
