Pop up ads

I keep getting pop up ads on s8. I have blocked them in privacy settings and chrome settings but they just wont stop. Any help woukd be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. In the end I did a 'factory Reset' and made sure there is now an 'ad blocker on Samsung internet and 🤞, it all seems fine now 👍

I keep getting this too and it's rather annoying. Would love to know how to stop it. It started after an update at beginning of april

Ads keep appearing randomly, sometimes when I'm in the middle of typing something? Can I prevent this? I use a Samsung Gallery J3 2017 edition.

I agree it can be annoying @Em1972

 

What I usually find is that a person has downloaded an app that contains ad's. 

 

To help determine this please put your phone in safe mode which turns off all your downloaded apps and leaves the stock ones alone which can help to determine if an app is causing this situation. 

 

If the ad's stop in safe mode then it's a case of elimination by deleting one app at a time until it stops.

Hi @Em1972

Further to @BandOfBrothers advice, you can restart the phone in Safe Mode by taking the following steps: Turn the device off > Press and hold the Power key > Release the Power key when the J3 logo appears > Press and hold the Volume Down key immediately after releasing the Power key > Continue to hold the Volume Down button until the device finishes booting.
