Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to this phone.

I have managed to copy three folders of music to 'My Files / Internal Storage / Music'

Is it possible for me to play all tracks (20+13+12) sequentially?  I can find no means of doing so.

Thanks.

Hi,

In the Samsung music player you can select "Songs" it will play all the songs available on your storage if they are not hidden.

Thanks Tali-K

No, there is no Samsung Music Player.

I have:

Samsung Health, Samsung Members, Samsung Notes, Samsung Pay and Samsung Themes

Also, in My Files I have:

Images, Audio, Videos, Documents, Downloads and Installation files

Hello,

If you don't have the music player installed, you can get it from galaxy apps store.

Ah, thanks.

My wife has Samsung Music pre-installed on her phone and I assumed that it must come with all new Samsung phones.

I have now downloaded it and successfully copied all my tracks, which seem to play correctly.

Apologies for my misunderstanding, and thanks for your help.

My apologies, but I have another problem which, hopefully, someone may be able to sort out for me!

I have created three playlists and added a number of tracks to each.  So far, so good.

I select Playlist 1 and see 20 tracks listed, as I added them in alphabetical order.  Unfortunately, when I play them they play in random order.  I certainly didn't click the 'shuffle' button.  I tried clicking between 'custom order' and 'name' (at the top left), but the same thing happens; they seem to play in random order.

I'd like to play them in the listed order.  Can anyone help, please?

Hi @JBR1

Unfortunately I have no idea here.

Normally, if shuffle is deactivated, they should play in the order of the songs.

I'll ask the obvious here...have you tried a reboot and gave it another try?

Thanks for your interest.

I have tried pressing the 'Shuffle' button and, each time, checked to see what happens (unfortunately, that button gives no indication as to whether or not it is activated!).  In either case (assuming it is switching on and off) the tracks play randomly.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect.  In addition, the same app on my wife's Samsung S6 has the same problem, so I have concluded that it is just an unreliable or poorly designed app and have uninstalled it.

I found an alternative on the Play Store, called simply 'Music Player - MP3 Player' by InShot Inc, which seems to work perfectly.  If anyone is having similar problems to me, I suggest you try it.

I have been so frustrated with this issue as well. Playing The Wall on shuffle is sacrilege. I Googled for an answer and found this forum, but no definite solution.

I selected "edit", checked the settings and hit the shuffle icon 20 times, but nothing changed. Then I accidentally stumbled upon the solution.

The music player menu is at the bottom of the page. It has an image of the current album playing and the buttons for rewind, play and forward.

Click on the album image. The music player menu will open up into full screen. At the bottom left, click on the shuffle icon to deselect it. All songs should now play in the proper order.
