Photos have disappeared from gallery Samsung a51

My pictures have suddenly just disappeared. They are not in the cloud so where can they be? Is this something that usually happends with samsung phones? I usually do a back up every 6 months but of course this happened almost exactly 6 monts since the last time. I would really want to know if it is possible to recover them and I would really want to know how it is possible that all pictures just disappears?

Are they in photos folder?

I found them in the recycle bin in the gallery. I saw that other People have had the same problem so I checked my bin. Quite strange that they get discarded without a warning.

Do you use any type of Cleaner? Sometimes they have a habit of erasing stuff you didn't want erasing.
