phone stopped working

hi i have an samsung s6, have had it since jan 2017....today for some reason phone screen has gone black with the word samsung flashing in white and the blue light is on....cant turn it off or get it to work....help pls x

Welcome to the Community page! 

Could you try rebooting your phone? Hold the 'Power' & 'Volume Down' buttons until the phone restarts. 

Could you then try boot your phone into Recovery Mode? Keep pressing and holding Power Key, Volume+ and Home button at the same time until you enter the Recovery Mode. Now, just select "reboot system now" to boot your phone.
