What has happened to 8.1?

We were told April then May both gone and now history. Its already 8th June

will android P be released before we get 8.1 in UK?

Please someone tell me why this is and when will we get 8.1?

I agree both the Networks and Samsung should have had enough time to test the updates out in the wild. 

But as per normal both the Networks and Samsung won't comment on firmware update timescales for release.

I understand but on the flip side can you imagine the backlash if they gave a date and that date slipped or they rushed it out which had bugs and caused issues. 

I remember some time ago when I think a firmware was pushed out to the Samsung Galaxy s5 which had bugs and caused major issues.

waiting for firmware updates is so tiresome. Maybe we all need to boycott Samsung with our next phone and give them the fright of their lives.

If i was asked what make my next phone will be? Answer Not Apple or Samsung.
If Elphone was do out of date i go there or that mega mega strong robust phone.

So still no 8.1. And Andriod P getting ever closer. Not that we will get that til Jan/Feb next year.

My next phone will not be a Samsung.

Even the Mods here wont say anything.

What is worse is the people with unlocked phones get the update last. Your complaining about 8.1, and I have not even got first taste of Oreo for my s7 edge. I will be lucky if I even get on July 1st. Now that is pathetic.

i agree it is pathetic. I dont know who has Oreo and who dont. Not my fault. im just as pissed off with Samsung as you are m8.

I certainly will think about my next phone.

As long as its Note 4 size and not Apple them im interested.

This, the S9, is my first samsung phone and likely my last. How long does it take to do an update? This bug is just intolerable and there is no way out except 8.1:
