Hi guys so my new note 8 gold got screen burn in after 2 months at the status bar so Samsung replaced my screen under warranty. But the person who replaced my screen scarached up the gold back destroyed it pretty much with scratches under the glass.afer  5 weeks of trying to get a fix for the damage Samsung caused ,they decided to replace my back glass cover.anyway I got the phone back yesterday from samsung and saw the gold note 8 cover is difent to my real original rear glass. This replacement one looks the same but it has my imei number and serial number in bold black text underneath the rest of the writing that is in gold colour Samsung lately uk  made in Vietnam etc etc.my original note 8 cover has the serial number on the back but its the same colour as the made in Vietnam and uk yately in gold text so that's not really visable unless you then the phone to the light.so why has my replacemt glass got the serial number is black reallyvisable e letters?it looks a bit out of place have the serial and imei in black but the rest of the text in gold I'm from England  in case that matters.do Samsung have plain glass backs that have everything but the serial number and imei printed

them.and then get the imei and sn etched on the back in black then return the fixed phone to the customer?as that's what I have it just seem odd to put an ugly black imei number in bold when the rest of the text is gold.plus now my phone does not look original ugly black text 😞 Screenshot_2018-01-18-18-40-26.jpgScreenshot_20180127-154545.jpgScreenshot_20180127-154549.jpg

Did you raise this with Samsung once you got the replacement back? I'd go back to Samsung and raise you concerns with them.

I'm not sure although it should've been an exact replacement, but maybe the engineer didn't know there was a difference, who knows. But definitely take the phone back and show them the difference and see what they say.

So I called the factory in Norwich and told them the issue and they said they have never heard of samsungvrrplacemt back glass with serial number and imei etched in.tbey said the replacemt backs are plain? With no serial or imei.but have the Samsung logo and the made in Vietnam text etc etc. So that was a big waste of time.the engineer said they changed my home key wtf .why wpuld tbey do that other tham if they broke the home key when changing the glass.my phone was perfect .Samsung has messed it up with no explication

I'd say the best thing to do is take it into Samsung and show them what you're talking about and if you're not satisfied then tell them you want to escalate you're enquiry

Ive escalate it 7 times so far no joy.the nearest Samsung place is the place that destroyed the new phone originally..my phone was sent to the factory repair centre in Norwich. That's around 200 miles away from me.i can't believe the engineer are that dumb as to know know what is going on.they are useless and have no skills in fixing phones.all they do is damage people's phones

That's shocking service, I'd give Samsung a call and let them know how you've been treated by the store and see if there's anything else they can suggest, because Samsung can't leave you hanging like this.
