Note 8 message/notification issues

Hi. 

I have had the note 8 for 2 weeks now & I am very disappointed. 

I am having an issue with messages not sending/receiving on time through WhatsApp & notification sounds very intermittent   (sometimes half the chosen tone, sometimes just a vibrate without any tone).

To try & fix the messages not sending/receiving on time I have adjusted the optimised battery setting for WhatsApp, I have reinstalled WhatsApp again, wiped the cache & checked every single notification setting within the phone, none of this is making any difference.

For the notification sound issue I have disable Bixby & Edge contacts as I read some people found this to be the issue, once again I have been through every single notification setting within the phone with no joy. 

A friend of mine hasn't done the latest system update & is having no issues. I can recall a previous Samsung handset having a similar issues with the notification sounds after a system update, surely this cannot be the same issue again?

Not to mention the poor screen sensitivity issue when scrolling that many people are complaining about...

After a firmware update if the phone is glitching I advise people to create a back up and factory reset.

However if a phone is glitching like yours when its so new then id check the replacement T&C's of the business who suppied the phone. Most i've come across offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee period.

I will give the factory reset a try & see if that helps before going down the exchange route, as I believe it is simply an issue with the software currently in use.

After a factory reset, will this return the handset back to its orignal  software upon first receiving the handset?

I have gone more in depth with it, text messages work perfectly fine, notifications sounds & sending/receiving.

The issue I am having is with app messaging (WhatsApp & Facebook messenger). WhatsApp copes better than Facebook messenger, Facebook messenger doesn't receive or notify of messages at all though...

I have gone more in depth, text messages are working perfectly fine. The problem lies with app messaging (WhatsApp, Facebook messenger). WhatsApp copes a little better at receiving/notifying me of messages than Facebook messenger, but Facebook messenger fails to notify me at all.

I have turned power saving mode off completely & I have adjusted optimised battery usage in special access, the issue just won't go away.

I have had my note 8 for a few months, my sister got her a couple months ago, we both have the same problem, we get no notification when a text comes in and the app doesn't show that there are any unread texts until it is opened. WE BOTH HATE OUR PHONES RIGHT NOW! Is there something we can do to fix them? We have done everything we can find on line or on youtube with no results! I'm very dissapointed with these phones!
