Hi @minty221290  Welcome to the Samsung Community :smiling-face:

Firstly check that there are no issues with your Network and that Mobile Data is enabled. check that your preferred sim is assigned to Messages, Settings-Connections-Sim card Manager. check thst Text is set as Default if that is preferred option, Settings - Chat Settings -Select Default Messaging Type, and set this to 'Text or Multimedia Messages'. If you go to Messages- Menu(3 dots)-Settings-More Settings-Text Messages check that a number is poulated in the Message Centre Section. If not you would need to contact your Network. You may need to try  cleaning and reinserting the sim .

otherwise restart phone and check for any updates. you may need to clear the Messages cache,Settings-Apps-Messages-Storage-clear cache. If no solution try resetting the Network connections,Settings-General Management-Reset-Reset Mobile Settings or all Settings.

Again contact provider if all else fails.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Hello 👋 @minty221290

Can you try your sim card in another phone 🤔

And if possible another sim in your phone as a process of elimination.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

It is usually related to your sim and network settings. Usually taking out the sim and cleaning and reseating it can help. Also if you change sim it's possible some settings could be stuck for an old sim so resetting the network settings can help. The process should be automatic but sometimes your network provider can send configuration messages to your device that can set up the correct settings on your device if problems are ongoing. Hope this helps
