What do the symbols NFC and SYNC refer to in the pull down a Samsung galaxy J5 MOBILE phone 2017 and should i have them enabled or disabled

Hi @1wexford

 

I have NFC turned on because I use Samsung and Android Pay. 

 

I also sometimes use NFC tags at Bus Stops to pull up bus times etc. 

 

If you do not intend to use similar services then turn it off to save a little bit of battery. 

 

Keep SYNC turned on as this ensures all your accounts such as google , gmail etc are synced.
