I got a new Galaxy S8 yesterday & I've transferred all files from the my S6 but the S8 doesn't seem to have the music icon/wigdet.

There should be the stock music app just named 'Music' - there is also the Play Music app which is pre-installed.
Have you checked to see if it is available for download through Galaxy Apps?

The default Music app that usually comes with any phone is not there.
