Hi i hope someone can help me with this problem. Since i updated the last software update on my phone, my phone keeps restarting whenever i use the internet or even on apps that worked perfectly fine before that update. Is there anyway i can solve this problem as its getting rather annoying now. It is also happening on my daughters phone and she has the same model phone as me

For me it's only during games at pure random. Seriously, has the meaning of update been changed from up to date to "broken as hell?

Try playing offline if possible. No restarts for me when I do that. Samsung, get your act together and maybe test updates?

Sadly, most games require a dataconnection to play.

I've had the exact same problem for almost 3 weeks now. Up until then my phone was fine. Not a problem with it at all. Then suddenly it started crashing and restarting itself whenever I opened an app.

Initially I thought something wrong with the phone, so I ran all sorts of tests and nothing was coming up as the problem.

So then I did everything another link with this same problem suggested, wipe cache, then the loading it in safe mode and watching it, resetting it to factory settings, you name it! And still it's happening.

It's frustrating as hell, and Samsung customer service and their team need to get their act together and fix this. They can't ignore millions of people who have this same issue.

To fob it off as some issue in the phone and make us go to their service centres (which mind you the nearest one for me is a state away so that ain't happening) , then come up with some lie it was something wrong with the phone and make us pay for repairs when clearly it's not the phone that needs fixing. It's their software update and that shows so clearly when so many of us are having and experiencing the same issue.

Samsung you boast on being a brand that people can trust and rely on... Then prove it and fix the bug/s in your last software update!

Had long chat with Samsung experts.  Very helpful. It seems the firmware update was fine but some app designers have not upgraded their games erg and that us the problem.  We will gave to wait to see that the app developers do. Microsoft have similar problems sometimes with third party developers.

if was the games problem, why just samsung J3 do that and not all smartphones?

Exactly and if it was the game developers fault it wouldn't apply to ALL games, just a select few. I think Samsung don't want to admit it's their fault or they're just too lazy to fix it.

Bad experience with an almost new J3 2017 (since September)...

samsung makes a firmware update that makes the phone reboot while playing games. I've read all kind of excuses, none of them is solving my problem. Not first, but last ("Samsung").ToLower(); for me.
