Other SmartphonesI have bought this phone few days ago and everything was fine. Suddenly yesterday my fingerprint sensor wasn't responding. So I tried adding and removing the fingerprint but I couldn't access as it said 'an error and restart the phone' so I restarted it again but nothing happened. Here's things I did-
1. Cleared data of fingerprint
2. Restarted the phone.
3. Had my phone reset again.
Then I dialed *#0*# that gave me the test. I click on the fingerprint test and it shows version:null, and 'fingerprint initialization fail'. I didn't do a factory reset because I'm not sure whether it's a hardware or simply a firmware issue. Please help me in this.

Other SmartphonesBefore a Factory Reset I'd try clearing the phones system cache.
If that and or a factory reset does not help then a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre location can run a diagnostic on it.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
