Moisture detected galaxy s8

Hello :smiling-face:

I'm glad to be able to join Samsung community :smiling-face:

Unfortunately it is connected to a little frustrating problem i noticed a few times, since i bought a Galaxy S8, namely,

every time my phone is discharged completely, "moisture detected" problem happens. There wasn't even one time, when it could be caused by water, or even dust (at least in my knowledge).

BUT, the moisture warning disappears completely, when i turn the phone on into the safe mode (power + volume down key), and never happened when phone wasn't discharged completely.

I tried something 'bout 3 different cables, and even tried to dry the USB port with dryer, but result was aways the same - nothing happened.

I can't tell it's frustrating, but it is a little bit annoying :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye: especially for me, cause complete discharge happens really often to me, because of my job.

Thank You in advance for every comment :smiling-face:

Hi there, @mikronik24.

We'd need to get this checked out by one of our engineers. As the error message is constantly showing up, even after troubleshooting this would be the best option. We'd advise popping into your local Samsung Support Centre for more help on this. You can find all our Support Centres here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/service-centre/.

This could be tripped by temperature changes that's affecting the phone.

Issues like these should disappear in 1-2 hours. Try gently blowing in the charging port.

If needed seek help from a Samsung Experience Store or a Samsung Service Centre.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Yeah it could be, but I don't think, that temperature changes affect the phone only when it's completely discharged, also drying or blowing into the charging port does not do anything.

One time I decided to put the phone into rice, cause its hydroscopic. After 12 hours long bath problem still existed.

I even tried to do factory reset, and I did reinstall the system. As you may guess, it doesn't help.

Same problem here. My s21 ultra was charging fine until I installed that new software update yesterday morning. And now it's not charging. No point telling us if the phone was in water because it was not. Please fully understand this happened after an update samsung send to us.
